Building and Strengthening the Folk Music Community
The Southwest Regional Folk Alliance (SWRFA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to build and strengthen the community around folk music and songwriting. Each year, we present a conference in Austin, TX which connects artists, presenters, radio DJs, and fans to the rich, living tradition of folk music in our region, which covers Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Mexico.

Folk Alliance International Membership
Are you a member of Folk Alliance International? SWRFA is just one piece of a bigger Folk Alliance organization. Membership helps to support the regions through dues, plus there are discounts to annual conferences and events, and much more. Also, to vote for the SWRFA Board, one must be a member in good standing by at least 2 weeks before the voting period opens (2026 is our next board openings).
