SWRFA Showcases

Official Showcases are not the only showcases at the conference. We offer late night in-room showcases on Friday and Saturday nights starting after the officials end at 10:30pm. There is a short artist application to fill out for those alongside your registration at no additional cost. We will send these applications to our in-room hosts to reach out to book artists, so please fill that out. There is always a temptation to acquire as many showcases as one can, but this isn't the best way to approach our conference. Limit yourself to 3-4 showcases total. SWRFA has made it a point of pride throughout our history to find showcases for anyone who wants to play at the conference. We can only do this if no one is hoarding showcases for themselves. If you get a bunch of offers, we ask that you inform the offering hosts that you are full up after you've booked your 2 or 3 or 4. We're a small conference with a surprising number of stairs. Don't exhaust yourself running from room to room because you've overbooked.

We have two open mics at the conference: Thursday from 6pm to 9pm, Saturday 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Signups for those are at the SWRFA registration desk. 

Last, but not least, there is a jar of song prompts at the registration desk. Artists are encouraged to take one and write a song over the course of the weekend. Those who do will be able to perform their new song in front of the Sunday brunch the last day of the conference. Many folks see this as a conference highlight! Show us what you've got!
